Made in Europe
Polyester (PES) rope sinks in water — its density is higher than water, making it the correct choice wherever a rope must stay below the surface. Mooring lines, halyards, anchor lines, and aquaculture cage ropes all require sinking rope. Polyester also offers higher tensile strength and better abrasion resistance than polypropylene at the same diameter — preferred by professional marine and industrial buyers who specify by performance rather than price.

When to choose Polyester rope
✓ Choose PES whenthe rope must sink — mooring lines, halyards, sheets, anchor ropes, and aquaculture lines where floating rope would foul propellers or drift. Also preferred for hoisting and lifting applications where higher tensile strength and lower elongation under sustained load is critical. Polyester retains its properties better than polypropylene under prolonged load.
✗ Consider Polypropylene insteadthe rope must float — buoy lines, fishing net floatation, swimming markers, marine safety lines, and agricultural use where light weight and cost efficiency are priorities. See the REVROK™ Polypropylene Rope range.
Primary applications
Marine Mooring
Mooring lines, dock lines, stern lines, spring lines for medium and commercial vessels. Sinks — stays below the waterline, preferred for clean vessel handling.
Sailing Halyards & Sheets
Running rigging for sailing craft. Lower stretch than PP, better load retention — preferred for halyards, sheets, and control lines.
Aquaculture
Fish farm net pen construction, offshore cage mooring, longline anchor ropes. Sinking rope keeps enclosures taut and correctly positioned.
Construction & Hoisting
Load lashing, scaffold tie lines, construction hoisting support. Higher tensile strength than PP at the same diameter.
Commercial Fishing
Anchor lines, heavy net ropes, longline main lines where strength and abrasion resistance are primary requirements.
Port & Harbour
Heavy mooring ropes for commercial vessels, harbour berthing lines, towing assistance ropes.
Industrial
Heavy load restraint, crane auxiliary lines, industrial plant rope applications where sustained load performance is needed.
Technical note — multifilament vs monofilament
All REVROK™ polyester rope uses multifilament fibre construction. Multifilament yarns consist of many fine filaments twisted together, distributing load across a greater surface area than a single thick monofilament strand. The result is higher abrasion resistance, lower elongation under load, and a softer hand feel — important for applications involving repeated handling. Many commodity rope products, including most Asian-sourced alternatives, use cheaper monofilament construction. REVROK™ does not.
