⚓ Floats in water ISO 1346:2004 ISO 9001 Made in Europe

Polypropylene (PP) rope floats in water — its density is lower than water, making it the correct choice wherever a rope must stay at the surface. Buoy lines, swimming area enclosures, fishing net floatation lines, and marine safety lines all require floating rope. REVROK™ PP rope uses multifilament construction for superior abrasion resistance and lower elongation than monofilament alternatives, UV stabilised throughout for long outdoor service life.

When to choose Polypropylene rope
✓ Choose PP whenthe rope must float — marine buoy lines, safety lines, net floatation, dinghy painters, fender lines, swimming enclosure markers. Also the preferred choice for agriculture, general outdoor use, camping, and packaging where the floating property is irrelevant but light weight, UV stability, and cost efficiency matter. Polypropylene is lighter than polyester at every diameter, making it easier to handle in long lengths.
✗ Consider Polyester insteadthe rope must sink and stay taut below the waterline — mooring lines, halyards, anchor ropes, and aquaculture applications where a floating rope would be hazardous or impractical. See the REVROK™ Polyester Rope range.
Primary applications
Marine & Nautical
Buoy ropes, dock lines, dinghy painters, fender lines, safety grab lines, swimming area markers. Floats — will not foul propellers or drift below the surface.
🎣
Fishing & Aquaculture
Net buoy ropes, buoy marker lines, lobster and crab pot lines, light mooring for fishing vessels. Lightweight and water-resistant — does not absorb moisture.
🌾
Agriculture
Plant support and training lines, temporary livestock fencing, bale securing, fleece and mesh anchoring, general farm binding.
🏗️
Construction
Site perimeter marking, scaffold lashing, load binding, temporary hoarding support. Cost-effective for short-duration site applications.
Outdoor & Sport
Tent and tarpaulin guy lines, adventure park ropes, camping and hiking, climbing course support lines.
📦
Packaging & Logistics
Cargo and pallet securing, transport lashing, bundle tying. Good balance of strength and economy at all diameters.
🐔
Poultry & Livestock
Enclosure net securing, poultry house fencing systems, livestock pen construction.
🛋️
Upholstery
Support and binding element in the production and restoration of upholstered furniture — armchairs, chairs, and beds.

Industrial — Wire Rope Core
At larger diameters (12–16mm), PP rope is used as the fibre core inside steel wire rope constructions.
Technical note — multifilament vs monofilament
All REVROK™ polypropylene rope uses multifilament fibre construction. Multifilament yarns consist of many fine filaments twisted together, distributing load across a greater surface area than a single thick monofilament strand. The result is higher abrasion resistance, lower elongation under load, and a softer hand feel — important for applications involving repeated handling. Many commodity rope products, including most Asian-sourced alternatives, use cheaper monofilament construction. REVROK™ does not.
