Revrok was founded by Gerard Korver, a Dutch industrial executive whose career spans general management, international sales and marketing, company acquisitions, and the creation of commercial networks across Europe, the United States, and Asia.
His commercial career began at Hydronyl Ltd. and Norton Chemical Process Products of Stoke on Trent, United Kingdom, where he established and developed the continental European sales and marketing operation from a standing start — building it from zero to annual revenues of £13 million, and creating and managing the European agency and distributor network that supported it. Offices were established in The Hague, Cologne, and Paris. Products covered chemical processing technology, distillation and absorption systems, complete chemical processing plants, and waste water treatment installations — including the sale of the largest biological waste water treatment plant in the world to the city of Rotterdam.
He subsequently served as European General Manager of Yarway Corporation, taking the European subsidiary from sustained losses to profitability within his first operational year and keeping it the most profitable subsidiary in the Yarway group for the duration of his tenure. The role carried full P&L responsibility and operational control of European manufacturing and sales. Products covered process control valves for the power and chemical process industries.
The centre of his executive career was the position of Group Managing Director of an international process engineering manufacturing and marketing group — eleven operating companies, 330 employees, annual revenues exceeding DM 130 million, and manufacturing, sales, and marketing operations across twelve countries. He carried out a management buy-in of the group, raising approximately $50 million in capital to acquire the holding company he already ran, establishing KWW GmbH in Düsseldorf as the new holding vehicle. The business was subsequently sold to Tetra Pak and Alfa Laval of Sweden at DM 150 million. Products across the group covered process engineering equipment, instrumentation, controls, special valves, air-operated and metering pumps, gear pumps, and process control systems for the power and chemical industries. Many products were developed and patented under his leadership.
Following the sale, he served as European General Manager of GAF Industrial Filters in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium — a restructuring and market development assignment in which he improved manufacturing processes, established European sales and marketing presence, and returned the company to profitability. Products covered industrial filters and filter systems for the power and chemical process industries.
Since then, he has worked as an independent consultant to process engineering, industrial products, and general commercial companies — carrying out acquisitions on behalf of third parties, competitor analysis, product programme evaluations, and the recruitment and appointment of specialized international sales and marketing staff and agents. Revrok is the structured expression of that work.
“Overall we rate Gerry Korver’s performance very highly and found him to be a creative and enterprising leader who is determined to succeed.”Richard J. Mattie · Vice President & General Manager, International Operations · Yarway Corporation
