8mm Polypropylene Rope
Product Description
REVROK™ 8mm polypropylene rope is a 24-spindle braided multifilament construction with a polypropylene fibre core — manufactured in Europe to ISO 1346:2004 standard and ISO 9001 quality management certification, independently tested at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad.
At 8mm, this is one of the most commercially versatile diameters in the range. It is strong enough for light mooring, dock lines, and construction site lashing, while remaining lightweight and easy to handle for agricultural, fishing, and outdoor applications. The key physical property is that polypropylene floats — unlike polyester or nylon rope, an 8mm PP rope stays on the surface of the water, making it the correct choice wherever a floating line is required: buoy ropes, swimming enclosures, safety lines, net floats, and marker lines.
The construction uses multifilament fibres, not monofilament. This distinction matters commercially — multifilament construction delivers superior abrasion resistance and lower elongation than monofilament alternatives. Many commodity rope products, including the majority of Asian-sourced rope, use cheaper monofilament fibres. REVROK™ does not. UV stabilisation is built into the raw material, not applied as a surface coating, ensuring the rope retains its properties throughout its service life.
